Just wanted to comment on Maxi, I thought he was excellent again yesterday and there's no way Dirk should be in ahead of him at the moment. His use of the ball is fantastic, and he played two or three sublime through balls including one with the outside of his right foot. He looks a very accomplished and intelligent player and I think he'll be great for us next season. Real shame he's ineligible for Europe.

Agree. He's a classy player, probably got all the halmarks of a top top player, except for pace.

Not very top class, but for the fee we paid, it's a good bit of business. Wish he had more pace or the ability to score goals, mind. He's symptomatic of a rafa signing, tidy, keeps the ball, intelligent, hardworking - but when it comes to making something happen that'll cause us to score, he's yet to provide it.

Looking at their goal again, our shape is awful just before the throw-in was taken that lead to the goal. Our back 4 is fine but Lucas should be further forward and Gerrard further back. The way they were, there was a huge gap that the ball was played into that pulled us further out of shape leading to the goal

It's kinda hard to explain without a picture of it, but they showed a still on MOTD yesterday that showed it perfectly

Pretty sure his career record is 1 in 4 which for a wide midfielder is excellent, he's still settling in, had the first chance gone in and not hit the bar he would have scored the late volley as well instead of snatching at it

Yeah it's early days and overall, he's been a promising signing. I just meant if he'd hit the ground running and knocked in a couple goals already, it'd help
