    A question about Rafa...

    Here's a thought.

Outside press conferences or post match interviews etc.

What was the last great thing you remember Rafa doing from a football standpoint?

We all see bad subs, team selection, purchases etc. but I cant think of anything for a loooong time that made me really comfortable about the man who is supposed to deliver no 19.

    Help me out.

It would have to be last season when finally it seemed to click in his head what was required to succeed in the premier league.

We attacked teams and went for the victory without basing so much of our game on the opponents. I'll never know why he changed that so much this year.
      Forwards.......

2 CL finals in 3 years? Most points achieved for us in the prem? His team scoring the most goals in the prem last season? Up til this season, keeping us competitive despite the 2 clowns runnin the shop?

I don't think anything changed initially. We started with the intention of being more attacking, and Johnson in early games looked like he was gonna be a revelation, but poor defensive errors from the team coupled with Carra's shakey start to the season meant that priorities changed and that plugging the hole in our defence was the first and foremost need for our recovery.

Once negativity settled in we were stuck with it and it has reflected in our entire campaign.

Worrying thing is that I'm not convinced with our current manager and squad that we will ever reverse this.

Change the squad or change the manager (change the owners obviously) but please.......something has to change.

Remember that we were shambolic at the back early in the season last yr too. We conceded 2 against Wigan,ManCity etc and looked shaky as **** whenever a cross came into our box or there was a set piece to defend.

We replaced the pivot of the entire system with a new pivot who was nowhere upto the mark and that isnt his natural position either.

He's been thrust into that role unfairly and when it dint work we dint bother changing the system.

last great thing? A few years ago I'm guessing he must of found his wife's pussy one night quite possibly by accident whilst no doubt searching for Pelligrino's clipboard and pen, since he does have kids. On seconds thoughts this is Rafa we're on about, no way would he of left anything to chance, the scientific approach would of meant turkey baster.

No worries Its been a hard season to watch, dont get me wrong- but I still think the club owe Rafa a season where they get all his 1st choice players within reason, with a decent budget. Then I will judge him fully. For a sizeable chunk of his tenure he has (for all his sometimes mystifying team selections) managed the club with one hand tied behind his back IMHO of course.

The problem is, thanks to rafa's mismanagement of this season, a transfer budget is likely to be a pipedream.

One hand tied behind his back by the owners - the other hand tied behind his back through his own stupid decisions.

No harm Judge - if we give Rafa another season - we are deluding ourselves - the man is a spent force - he looks like he is only interested in his next job, he thinks winning the consolation cup will be good on his CV ? Bollox to that - we are bigger than that.

I predict it now......when he is gone from us - if somehow we did win the Consolation cup - he will point to his term in charge here as successful, based on winning the Champions League, top 2 finish, a FA Cup and a UEFA Cup ?

**** sake Rafa, get a grip - can't you see it? It's no 19 we want - nothing else.

                      pissed off here....big time.

Yep, we're all disappointed but people seem to think this is a place they can just let off steam, even if that means talking ****e. And a few even think we're all here just for the privilege of reading them saying the same old ****e over and over and over again. It's so boring and unimaginative and childish.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
