I would not be at all surprised if there was a clause in Rafa's contract that he would be sacked with no compensation or minimal compensation atleast IF he failed to achieve certain agreed targets e.g a top 4 finish or a trophy

Me too. Minimum requirement and all that. A pity those two ****ing *******s didn't give Rafa the funds to develop the team/squad when we were so close to returning to our best. A pity also that Rafa's tactics let us down so badly so many times this season.

We'd all obviously rather be in the other European tournament but still, it's a chance to win something and we're more than likely going to be in it next season so people better get used to it. Might aswell enjoy it, with the cancer we've got owning the club who knows how low we'll sink? Take what we can.
Besides, Benfica pathetic antics should be enough to get anyone fired up who already wasnt.
Some of our fans have become a bunch of whiny, sulking little brats of late, we are Liverpool, we are better than that

**** these cunts up big time! I'm still on a bit of a football downer after the weekend but come Thursday my loathing if benfica - only when they're playing us mind - will be allied to the realisation that it's s step on the way to potentially the only football happiness we'll have this year. Hope anfield is ****in thunderous and we rip the cunts apart. 4 - 1 to us I say.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

Its only the Europa League but its still the quarter final of a European competition we've got every chance of winning if we can find a bit of form. I'm desperate to beat these, particularly since their fans and stewards were such a set of cunts in the Luz - 2 firecrackers were thrown into our end and the police blamed it on the away fans and tried to remove a couple of them from the ground.
We lost the game last week due to some shocking refereeing but I could see us flying out the blocks early on Thursday and battering them. If we lose I'm going to single-handedly unleash a wave of terror on Lisbon the like of which it has never seen. Either way I should be able to find some small amount of satisfaction.

My mate has kept my fancard ticking over with all the EL games on, so half a chance of a ticket there. Bound to be spares knocking about anyway.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostSurely you're too skint
Will you qualify for a ticket or is it another blag job?
If we got there I'd find a way of affording the travel. Plenty of big airports to fly to near(ish) Hamburg. Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen etc....

We need to start the game at a high tempo and get after them from the start, the way things are going in the league this could be all we have to play for in the remainder of the season
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

surely the mancs "crashing out of europe"/"being unceremoniously dumped out of europe" will add a bit of extra noise to anfield tonight?
i know it won't manifest itself directly but going through tonight would do a lot to lift us and allied to last nights result.... COME ON TA **** YOU CUNTS!!!!! (absolutley dreading the prospect of benfica scoring first... that horrible silence....)Felching ≠ Gerbilling
