It's not a massive buy out per se, it's a clause to pay put the contract.

Football managers are being sacked a rate of knots, often through little other than fickleness, so it's understandable they'd have those kind of clauses.

Especially considering they can't leave when they want, the contract as to work both ways.

If he does go anyway I reckon it would be by mutual agreement, neither party holds the other to anything, he's just allowed to seek alternate employment and we don't have to pay anything.

I can't see us getting anything with the current state of play but I don't see us needing to pay him out either, his value hasn't dropped quite that far.

Personally I still think he is a good manager, just things are clearly not working here and that would probably be best for everyone.

For things to implode so badly over a single season I don't think it's an issue which can be quickly remedied without massive changes in playing staff which we can't afford.

The knock on would be how much would it cost us to compensate Inter for Mourhinio / Villa for O'Neil / Fulham for Hodgson?
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

What's Klinsmann up to these days?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
          Mine angry and defrauded young?
