The attitude I see in here from some posters is just the anti-thesis of what it's about being a Liverpool supporter. It's much more than success on the pitch. If you haven't understood that then you probably never will.
Yes, Pete. We should all just sit back and say nothing. Take our medicine and not question.

Well think about what you're saying then 'idiot' and dont sit there slagging off those of us who do, from your exotic armchair.

That kind of comment comes across as a little arrogant IMO.
        oh the ****in irony.

Sit back? What can you do, fire him? I thought that were the owners, chief executive's job!??

He's given us some great times and I think he's moving this club forward. You're entitled to your opinion (but you can't sack him) and I'm entitled to mine. Let's leave it at that, this topic bores me actually.

What is clear in my mind is if we were to endure another season like this next year - with the ownership ****e (hopefully) cleared up, then he'd have to go but as others have pointed out I think he deserves another season.
IF we reach this point next year, with new owners who'd backed rafa - and we were still doing woefully...i'm 90% sure some people (not you) would have found another excuse/reason why it wasnt rafa's fault, and why he should stay. After all, they'd have a whole year to think of one

You bute. **** me Craig, you go around slinging comments suggesting someones arrogant for having an opinion yet display nothing but the same yourself.

And it's non stop i might add...take a step back for ****s sake, if you don't think some fans anger at this seasons results has 'maybe' skewed their judgement then carry on.

Do you notice the 'grin' smiley at the end of my post? It was tongue in cheek.

The vast majority of people who slate Rafa are not questioning his dignity, morality, love for LFC or anything else of a personal nature. Any of those who slander any Liverpool manager are not welcome. I have genuine respect for him as a person.

But, he has a job to do, and although he excels at a lot of the areas of the job, in my eyes he has failed at the one he was hired for. To make us challenge for the Premier league on a regular basis. Doesn't mean I don't like him, I just think he lacks qualities that I think are important to challenge regularly for the title. I wish I was wrong about this and would love nothing better than for him to prove me wrong.

I certainly would not keep him in a job purely because he loves the club...

Whether you like it or not, Pete, the majority of worldwide Liverpool fans are your so-called "armchair" fans, and those fans could just love Liverpool Football Club as much as you do. Doesn't mean they don't have the right voice their opinions on an internet site. No job is without some sort of accountability.

I was a bit over the top with the 'armchair' comments, sorry. I tend to get my emotions carry over.

I'll make a proper judgement on Rafa only when he's been given the proper backing to build a football team. I think he's had to wheel and deal too much in his 6 years and he's had to take too many risks, which for some, haven't worked particularly well.

Now, I wouldn't want to go into any arguments again. I've had this to death and I'm bored. I don't know what is left to discuss and argue about Rafa, there's nothing new brought on in the discussion so we should leave it at that. He isn't going anywhere at the end of the day so some of you should get used to it.

I thought 'armchair managers' would have been a more appropriate term for the conversation in question.
