I've got a ticket for the game Sunday

But it's in the away end with a couple of Burnely fans I know.

Should I go? I know it's an away match but I've never been to an away game before and really would love to go, in an ideal world I'd be with the LFC fans but at least it's a ticket so I can't complain. I haven't been to a game this season yet either.

    What do you reckon guys?

      Burnely are rough as ****.

By "it's in the away end" you mean it's in the home end? The Burnley end? If so, go but keep your head down and don't give the game away. A hell of a lot of scumbags at Turf Moor.

A colleague at work is sitting in with the Burnley fans. He's taking his 7 year old son with him too

Is it away to burnle on Sunday? -anyway, he is what i have to say –

I travelled away to burnley for that brilliant fa cup tie where djimi traore auditioned for bambi on ice

5 of us where going by car, one lad’s nan is from burnley, he knows the town and tells us where to park etc..........we park up, immediately we have about 3 or 4 young uns (about 13) ‘spotting’ us and asking us questions like what time is it? Etc, we spoke to them briefly and as we headed off we noticied them whistling and signalling other people.......not a good sign we thought

We got too a main road, and the easiest way past was down through a subway/tunnel thing that looked dodgy as ****, we started to make our way down but then noticied on the other side of the road a load of lads spot us and they started to head down as well.....**** that we walked the long way road to cross the road.

Getting closer to ground it was getting more dodgy, despite making sure not one of us had anything relating to LFC on us, the fact that we had modern clothes on meant we stood out from the crowd. The police, had sectioned off the area round the stadium to kepe the away and home fans apart, so if you were a Liverpool fan there was only one way to get the ground.....we had parked the other side.

As we get nr the ground we realise we’re in the ****.....the Burnley SS (suicide squad) are all around us throwning bottles over the police cordon, which behind them was right vans and coaches blocking across the road, behind this was the Liverpool fans. We somehow had to casually blend in and walk amongst the SS, before making a beeline for the police cordon, get past them, through the coaches and into the waiting Liverpool fans whoe by now are getting very pissed off with random bottles coming at them and they can’t get too the burnley fans.

We got asked a few times, why weren’t throwning stones at the scousers etc

So, we get to the police cordon, who immediately get ready to come at us as they think were SS about to make a charge for it, the second we speak they hear are accents and look shocked. “what the **** you doing here lads, you’ll get ****ing killed” – “er yes we realise that officer, now could you be so kind to get the **** out the way and let us past”
We pass the cordon, avoiding the shower of bottles as the SS realise that “the stoners who weren’t throwing stones are scousers” – we make our way through the barrier of riot vans and coaches........were a load of Liverpool stop and stare and get ready, again thinking were SS who have made our way past the police for a fight!! We explain we’re not - finally, we are reasonably safe for at least 90 mins, knowing that after the game we would have to run the gauntlet again

Thats just my experience of Turf Moor......i’m sure you’ll be fine
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

If you're going with Burnley fans you'll be fine. Don't wear colours, keep quiet if you've got a scouse accent, and don't cheer when we score! I've sat on my hands in the home end for plenty of away games over the years and have never had any trouble.

And make sure the mates your with know this too...and don't identify you as a Red while their guard is down when maybe talking to fellow Burnley fans they think may be ok guys, it'll be all around the terrace in no time, and if we have a hard time of it on the pitch...well, i would think it could be a million times worse for you, not to mention what it could be like if we're winning and they find out there's a Red in their mist. (see what i did there. ), so be careful, but go for sure.

It is just a small town in England but they tend to produce the worst kind. Small-minded, insignificant thick ****ers trying to make a name for themselves.

I've decided I'm going to go, will just have to keep my head down and shut the f**k up

I'm with a husband and wife who are friends of my missus and they're sound, I'm sure they won't say anything to anyone.

Christ some of you guys haven't half had some experiences there!!
