    Burnley v Liverpool build up

    V
Well ideally if Torres was playing and considering how poor were playing we would have still tonked these lot with Torres getting a couple of goals......but with Ngog injured players out of form And Burnley still fighting to stay in the prem who knows which way this game will go ....still i will go for Burnley 1-2 Liverpool

I want to see us go with an attacking line up something like

    Reina

    Johnson Carragher Kyriakos Agger

    Maxi Gerrard Mascherano Babel

    Kuyt Ngog

Unfortunately I don't think we will

It's hardly an attacking line-up with Ngog in the side anyways.

Pacheco to partner kuyt up front. Aqua instead of gerrard cause we know that's why he was rested

With West Ham winning today, Burnley are down if we beat them, so they'll be fired up for this one.

I think we should start with Kuyt and Babel up front with Benny and Maxi on the Wings and Masher and Gerrard in front of the back four of Johnson, Carra, Kyriakos and Agger

I think Aquilani would do well against Burnley - they are not great shakes at closing space and don't have many hard tacklers. Benayoun and Babel wide of Kuyt in attack would seem the most likely option I would think with Gerrard in behind Kuyt.

Hope to get a goal or two up and then give Pacheco a nice low pressure run out.

Burnley will be up for it but I'm not sure they really have the players that make that a big danger. Shouldn't underestimate them I guess but we should be looking to exploit their well known weaknesses rather than worrying too much about their strengths.

We have to go for it, if we win by four or five it could make a difference if we finish level with City. Aquilani, Gerrard, Benni, Babel and Kuyt should manage a goal or two, don't see the need for both Lucas and Mascher.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I can see that logic although I do wonder whether Burnley are the sort of team where we could see the more attacking play we have in some European games from Lucas.

I guess maybe fatalism in terms of final position has set in with me and almost as much as that i would like to see us develop players within the squad for the future. It would be good for Lucas to get confidence playing higher up the pitch in England which I think he has been struggling with this season (he was clearly trying it in the early parts of the season but it not quite coming off I would have liked him to have persevered but he seems to have gone back into his shall a bit).

There is a 'listen live' link on the BBC Radio Merseyside site, if that is what you are after:

Pacheco wont start, if he was to start a game though then this is the one for him.

I predict Kuyt as a lone striker, sadly.
