Kuyt up top for me and it will be to our benefit for two reason one is Kuyt will get goals and the other is that Maxi has been excellent on the right and gives us better balance and options then Dirk.
One thing is, that if Kuyt is going to play up top he needs to stay in that central striking position and not get caught up in dropping too deep.
i think degens on his way out because kelly has shown enough to suggest that he's going to be a really good player for us. I would even play him on the left hand side at full back.
but dalle valle isnt ready to play at first team level and ngog will develop into a half decent player. For £1.5m what can you expect to get - he's not a world beater but the lad can do a job. My biggest worry about ngog is that he doesnt really look like a goal threat.
I know he's got 8 this season which is pretty good but he doesnt ever look like he's got goal scoring intent. It might have something to do with our system which as standard requires him to spend 99% of his time defending.
I'm not certain about that, I know he's held in high regard, but he has still only made 3 first team appearences.
The problem with Ngog is that the team aren't creating enough chances for him, we don't know how well he would have done if he were getting chances. He's also playing up front on his own which is a difficult role and he's getting little support at times, I think he'd be better in a front two.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
If only Rafa had your amazing insight. If only you were our boss instead, blah, blah, blah.
You may not know it, but most others will tell you that the lad is nowhere near ready to play in the first team. He's not another Owen, who was ready in his teens. To play him would be madness. He's only just consolidated his reserve team place. I suggest you watch him now and again
