    These are my few cents....

    (1) The big players are letting the team down: Gerrard, Carragher, Hyypia, Alonso. Was particularly galling to see Sissoko, the player on a freaking yellow card, chasing and hustling during the last ten minutes. Gerrard = centre-mid? Don't make me laugh. He and Alonso should not be near the team based on their form.

    (2) Tactics wise, Scholes' goal is demonstrative of how Alonso / Sissoko should be driving into the box whenever a chance for a cross materialises.

    (3) Rotation is a convenient scapegoat, but Crouch should have started.

    (4) Again, where's the heart and aggression from Gerrard or any of the senior players? Its so frustrating to watch them give us so much hustle and trouble, and we just took it without reply, except Sissoko who gave as much as he took.

    (5) I hate watching such games with my dad and bro. Bunch of ******s. The commentary was already f-d up and I had to sit thru' localised commentary from two manure idiots.

    Caps a pretty dismal weekend.

Disagree with the Alonso point. I thought he dished some out himself. At least more than the captain...

He and Alonso should not be near the team based on their form. Agreed but who else can we play. No options in the CM. Zenden is rubbish and Rafa's biggest cock up to date was not replacing Didi. This needs to be addressed in January. Kevin Nolan anyone?

        (2) Tactics wise, Scholes' goal is demonstrative of how Alonso / Sissoko should be driving into the box whenever a chance for a cross materialises.
Neither Momo or Alonso have not got this in their game. Momo gets a nosebleed if he is that high up the pitch and Alonso has not got the legs. Rafa needs to change his tactics. Only 1 holding midfielder is needed so it has to be one of either Momo or Xabi who play?
        (3) Rotation is a convenient scapegoat, but Crouch should have started.
I think Rafa's tinkering is detremental to player morale and the teams performance as a unit in general. Sorry Rafa but I want you to decide on our best 11 and stick with it until we regain our confidence and drag ourselves from the bottom end of the table
        (4) Again, where's the heart and aggression from Gerrard or any of the senior players? Its so frustrating to watch them give us so much hustle and trouble, and we just took it without reply, except Sissoko who gave as much as he took.
They have all been poor even Momo. For all his passion and tackling he lacks quality on the ball. Garcia should be sold in January if he gets a new contract I will lose the plot

I watched it with the Wife who in fairness called a spade a spade the whole game i.e we were rubbishCaps a pretty dismal weekend.

Seasons ****ing practically over and it's not even November yet. Can it get any worse?

Well, on the bright, all the hard matches are over aren't they?

The snr players need to step up and lead by example. I'm confident once they do, the season will come together. The quality is there but at the moment, the heart isn't.

Villa at home looks just as bad.

O'Neill always had a good time of it against us.

Personally I think the rotation policy is the problem.
Even players playing **** still get selected whereas players hitting their straps get binned.
You need to create competition for places and continously rotating the players loses the competitive element. It also loses the consistency needed to win the league and the continuity needed to foster a strong team spirit.

hear hear! nobody has to fight for their place anymore.

half the team get selected no matter what, and the other half share their places with their workmates. its last.

the shirt is not precious anymore. to make something precious, it has to be hard to earn. its why diamonds are precious and sand isn't.

at LFC at the moment, everyone gets a go of the shirt. its the equivalent of the hook a duck game at the fair.

lets get territorial. lets say right you're selected its your shirt so keep hold of it if you can. lets say to the others "go and rag that *******s shirt off him".

then let everyone have to continually prove they're worth the shirt, and if they're not, take it off them until they can prove it again.

all this "i'll wear it today, you can play tomorrow" bollocks just breeds comfort. as if their wage packets didn't do that already.

i'm sick of rotation. we need a better squad and we need a first eleven, and we need to rest players occasionally when needed, but otherwise we should make the shirt something that is precious and something you have to fight like hell to keep hold of.

its an attitude glaringly missing from the club at the moment. we just don't have that mentality where every player is kept on their toes and where we challenge each other to keep raising the bar in order to stay in the team.

and its an attitude only champions have.

sorry but i think thats not the case, i think there is a lot of competition for places, benitez says that he picks the player who is fittest and has performed best the entire week, including practise and last weeks game, you have to be on youre game all week to deserve a place in the team, and you have to work hard and stay fit to get selected, i think on the contrary there is much more competition for places now that it's all in the open and anyone can get a game... no one is safe so they have to work at it constantly...

And some of the things are just characteristic weaknesses of an individuals general play which, like the rotation policy, didn't harm us last season so why are they causing particular damage this?
