what i mean is that when a position is continually rotated, there is no competition for it because it almost becomes a shared place. theres no territoriality about it. the "its mine!" factor.

what it becomes is "ours". i don't personally think thats healthy in a competitive environment.

so sure you might be out this game but theres no need to be anxious or respond by stepping up your game. the only response required really is to wait it out cos you'll get the shirt back next game or the game after.

it may seem like more competition, but in actual fact i think the psychological result is that it eliminates competition for that place altogether. the place becomes something you wait for in the certain knowledge that it'll be yours again soon, not something you have to fight for to try to win back.

its the psychological difference of ensuring you're on time for the 3 o clock train when its the only train leaving all month, and the psychological difference of ensuring you're on time for the 3 o clock when you know that theres a train leaving every 10 minutes.

They're causing more damage this time, because last season we could allow for mistakes and still play well because me still players stepping up, this season it's not happening so the errors are more noticeable.

As to why the players are having problems, no clue, would love have a word with Rafa and ask him why tho, because it seems to me like theres problems in the LFC camp.

Thats my fear but I have no evidence for it. Something just doesn't seem right - even if the results were going our way, we would still be looking ****e.

If that's the case Crouch would have started today and Garcia or Zenden would never play for us
          Dare we believe

Maybe we are just simply having a bad patch, up until 3 seasons ago, most of the title winining sides had a bad patch, just unfortunate ours is really ****ing us up.

But I suppose maybe coming back off a world cup conflicts with Rafa's methods, he's always said we wont be fit till November, and the attempt at bedding in new players is obviously not going well.

zenden shound never play for us, but the rest is bollocks, crouch has played an important role for england, but despite his goals i feel he's not been good for us this season, and who know if he was the best in training this week, and that part about garcia is just plain stupid, to put him up there with zenden after all he has done for us, we have gained more from him, than what he has cost us. you seem to forgett to easilly...

i agree with you to an extent end understand youre point, and maybe i'm totally wrong, but i feel like a player can own a certain position, like sissoko owns the midfield, or like last season where gerrard owned the right wing, and i can think of carra, and riise as well, they play the majority of games in the postion they make their own but do get a break from time to time depending on fitness and work rate, i feel that the positions he's rotating the most with are positions where no one has played consistantly well inn, and everyone seem to be under performing so he feels the need to mix things up and come up with a system that works...

just feels that way to me, maybe i'm wrong...
