Sadly I am beginning to agree.Originally posted by kev776 View PostSorry mate I have to disagree. I understand what you mean about injurues, lack of funds etc, all of this I accept.
What I cant accept are his tactics. To many times he is far to cautious, to many times he plays defensively against poor opposition. I honestly believe we would be in 4th today if he didnt rely on Mascher AND Lucas so often. Why did he not use Aquilani far more often, Pachero etc should have been given more chances. The list is endless.
Far to cautious, when some balls were needed.
Imo he deserves one more year but even today he made some questionable decisions/subs. Why would you pull Aqua man and one of the few creative players we have and left Lucas in.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I'm not saying Rafa should or shouldn't stay because I can't make my mind up either.
However I couldn't care less what the players thought of their manager. They should be playing to the best of their abilities every week, for the club, the fans and themselves.
Grass isn't always greener either. We're more likely to get Curbishley or Scrachan next season as opposed to Mourinho, Hiddink etc.
Whether Rafa stays or not, I think we'll see massive changes in the next four months.

And if that hadn't worked would you have said he should have gone for those reasons?Originally posted by kev776 View PostSorry mate I have to disagree. I understand what you mean about injurues, lack of funds etc, all of this I accept.

We lack depth, that much is clear but the problem started with ****ty defending at the start of the season and we have had trouble from there and during that time we had been trying to attack but we conceded a lot of poor goals doing so.

No doubt. It will be interesting to see how many quality (we don't have too many of those) players we will be left with.Originally posted by Lee View PostI'm not saying Rafa should or shouldn't stay because I can't make my mind up either.

That's the key. To paraphrase an earlier post I'd say we are a Ferrari on bricks. Reina, SG, Torres, Mascher, Johnson, Aquilani, Agger, Carra and Maxi. Any incoming buyer would have to spunk a few quid on the team but that is a fairly good spine.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostWe need new owners.
