Yeah I think this will play a factor. Football is the last thing he will want to be thinking about right now after our shocker of a season the lad will be delighted to take a break from it all.Originally posted by PTP View Posthmm not sure - i think if he had a good season and was in form there would be a good chance. But i'm guessing he is that fed up at the moment that he just wants to escape for a few months. I'd be shocked if he went the world cup.

Perhaps..
What player would turn down the chance of going to a World Cup, if asked?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/wor....html?ITO=1490Jamie Carragher is poised to make a sensational return to international football by answering a desperate World Cup plea from England manager Fabio Capello.
The Liverpool defender quit international football three years ago citing the fact that he was tired of being nothing more than a squad player and complaining that he was never given the chance to prove himself as a
top-level centre half.
But amid serious concerns over the fitness of Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown, Joleon Lescott and Ledley King, Capello has turned to Carragher and sources at Liverpool indicated he is ready to answer the call.

Somehow I don't think Talksport will be able to stop him representing England let alone even try to stop him if he wanted to

If you look at the papers today and it seems that if he is guaranteed a place in the 23 then he will go.Originally posted by Bender View PostAnyone think he will be tempted to make a comeback if asked by Fabio cappelo ......seems to be alot of talk about him being asked to come out of retirement!
This team have an amazing opportunity and I think he'd be foo;ish not to go and would probably regret it later on in life.Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield
