I'd be amazed if he does a U-turn on this. Carra strikes me as a proud, principled man and once his mind is made up then that's it. I think he'll look a bit of a bellend if he changes his mind now.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Think he's done a u-turn...his mate Durham from Talk sport seemed to think Carra would be joining the squad....and i'd imagine he'd have spoken to Carra about it first.

      Could be very wrong obviously.

Hmmm TalkSport seem pretty sure - saying they had to be involved as they needed to release him from the agreement there.

Jesus. I like Carra but this makes him look a bit of a tool if you ask me. It's not as if he's going to be first choice at the World Cup is it?! Back up at full back and back up at centre back - exactly the position he was in when he quit FFS!

It does seem very odd, if he was going to be first choice fair enough, but that looks quite unlikely, but as Shaggy says he'll be in the same position he was in when he quit.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

not really, he has missed all the qualifiers and has been given a free ride to the world cup.

If he plays great, if not its been an experience without having to play any of the ****ty qualifiers.

Perhaps Capello is just a bit more convincing than Second Choice Steve.

On a slightly unrelated note, they're also saying that Barry's injury will mean he misses the world cup.

wonder if stevie will be moved into the middle now the first choice centre midfielder is out?

Dawson deserves to be in the squad if you ask me.

Definitely, and I'm sure he will be.

I suspect Carragher lost all respect for McLaren over the ridiculous way he treated him. Quite right too, it was disgraceful.

Now he realises his career is soon going to be over, Terry and Ferdinand are anything but automatic first choices and he'd have a good chance of playing in a team with a realistic chance of winning.

I'm not sure he'll go for it but good luck to him if he does, even though it might not be ideal from our point of view.

N.B. I don't think England will win it. But it's not impossible.
                                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
