    Expectations

Have to say, I was expecting some bad reactions if we lost this game today, but not to the level I have seen, Am very supprised if im honest.
Slur alex Ferguson seems to have more belief in this Liverpool side than the vast majority on here.
He said, they have a good run in now, which is ture considering all the tought away games we have had already this season. 11 in October we are behind With Man Yo, bolton, chelsea, Everton and soon to be arsenal away all gone from the rest of the season. Traditionally, Rafas teams get stronger as the season progresses. due to squad rotation etc, sure it hasnt worked as we would have liked so far especially away from home, but i cant say im that supprised given the ammount of new players we brought in. Pennant, auerlio, Kuyt, gonzales, and you may aswell say Agger too. we were always going to have teething problems.
I believe we will get stronger, I think we can firmly say the pressure is off us now, We look despite these away losses a much better team than we did when Rafa first took over. and we managed to win the champions League.
IMHO the squad are still adapting to the squad, especially our new and important wide players, I cant actually wait for Harry Kewell to come back, as far as i can see, his place is in no way under threat. but i still expect gonzo and Aurelio to improve.
Im not going to be calling for the head of Rafa. A manager who is of the very highest calibre IMO. Nor will I be calling for the head of Gerrard, a man who not so long ago pledged the rest of his playing career to us. things will turn around, we may not win the league, but we will be coming back up that table and we will be playing decent football and winning games before long. I just hope not too much is said in the press between now and then.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

He's only kind to those he can safely patronise. He's only generous to those he doesn't fear. I wouldn't feel too pleased about his supposed faith in us to be honest.

We dropped points away to F##king Sheffield united aswell as home to Blackburn. We have Villa next week and Arsenal away next. Come on. We are playing poor and do not look capable of beating anyone at the moment. It is not an over reaction just stating a fact. There is no point in trying to sugar coat it with the "we have all our hardest games out of the way" excuse.
          Dare we believe

I dont believe this is the case today mate. He said the same thing every season since Rafa took over, more so than when GH was in charge.
He respects Rafa and his tactical ability and is saying it as he sees it IMO. He was right in saying Rafas sides will be less tired as the season develops, which is true, are we suddenly such a bad team all of a sudden? especially with better personeel than last season, I dont believe so, and I dont think Alex Ferguson believes so.

Put it this way, I think the pieces will start falling into place soon, and we will start getting results, call me over optimistic if you like, but i still think we have a heck of alot to play for this season.

The cups and a CL place. Not the premiership though and I think 2nd spot out of reach aswell

do we really have better personell than last season though? i honestly don't believe we have.
at the moment we're worse than we were last year. 4 defeats in 9 games is nothing more than mid-table form.

it's shocking and rafa and the players have to sort it out. at the moment they can't even string 3 passes together and a simple 5 yard ball is hard for them to do.

the mancs were average today, but we were poor. I think losing the first goal killed us. After that we went into a shell and never came out of it.

I would ****ing bite your hand off right now for that. Which is pathetic really. But it's the same old story.

Everyone needs to sit down and have a look at themselves, the gutless and spineless players who were a disgrace today, the manager who doesn't seem to know who he wants to play and how he wants them to play, and the board who are making the manager buy 2nd and 3rd choice players because he cant afford to get genuine first choice players to improve the team.

I'm thoroughly pissed off. Dont know what realistically we can expect this season. I never expected us to win the league, but even for someone with low expectations and as pessimistic as I am about our title hopes this is becoming a nightmare. 2nd place was the target for this season as far as I'm concerned, and we're going to fall well short.

I'm worried about where we are headed. Genuinely worried.

****ing depressing day, and tomorrow will be worse with a scum fan as a boss

Yeah I think we have better players than last season.
Am delighted Morientes and Cisse are gone, despite cisse's 16 goals and Morientes current form for valencia, because we need players who can play in the prem and understand Rafas thinking if we are to be successfully. would have liked Flo to stay, thought he gave us a great unpredictability at times that we are missing this season. Traore, glad he is gone, wich diao had left earlier. Kromkamp was decidely average.
Our new signings may not have settled just yet, but i think they are only going to improve.
