Hopefully he is someone we can look forward to actually make it through to the first team.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez: "We had a meeting last week which was positive. We will have another meeting on Wednesday next week. It is very clear what my situation is with the club. I have four years remaining on my contract and I have made a strong commitment to the club. I am really pleased to have been here for a long time and hopefully I can stay here is the conditions are right."

might have something to do with juventus changing the terms on offer to him at the last minute and that job doesnt look too good all of a sudden.

But i hope he stays and get some financial backing.

If we had 7 or 8 points more then we would have gotten 4th.

A more courageous approach, some more quality on the flanks, a proper left back and another striker and we could be there.

Jesus he's a big lad for a 16 year old - at his rate he might be 7 foot tall when he's finished growing!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Spot on mate! Hopefully the dead wood will be sold on and we can start from scratch! The whole club needs rebuilding and hopefully it will start in the summer with new owners who will act with dignity along with the manager. I posted an article in one of the threads about Sir John Smith and how well he run the club and how professional he was in making us the best run club in the country if not the world. God how we could do with him today!

Liverpool needs another Shankly to come in and purge the whole football club and change the mentality of everyone there!

The fact LFC fans will be celebrating a Chelsea league win is tragic as in our time they were no more than a second devision nobody club who were sold for a £1.

The club has been in the wrong hands since 1991 and now hopefully we will get new owners in who will honour our great traditions and honour Sir John Moores in returning us to the way we were under him!

                      YNWA!

Im thoroughly demoralised and to be honest I cant see anyone paying £500m for this club. The level of debt is now reportedly near the £500m and the only way out of this is that the club sell gerrard, torres, masher and reina.

That should bring in £150m ish and the club can pay off the owners £144m debt and tell them to **** off.

The remaining level of debt is approx £280m is and RBS should be able to find a buyer to take the club on for that amount.

Another £100m is needed to get the club ready to compete for a uefa place and another £50m thereafter to get back into the Champions league.

Its a long way back from here.
Our name and history is a world leading brand. Lucky for us that this will ensure that any suitor will (happily) pay over the odds. IMO of course

that might be part of the problem.

hicks the ****ing fat leech knows this and instead of selling the club for £550m he'll wait for £700m and in the meantime we will keep declining.

but with the current financial problems the number of people looking to make a £1bn investment arent falling over themselves to get to anfield.

Another thing is that no one ever made money from football and im not sure this makes sense commercially. It would basically have to be a sugar daddy.

No one will pay over the odds for LFC based on our history. Who ever buy's the club will want to pay as little as possible, they aren't going to pay a penny more based on sentiment.
