Very harsh Ronan! They've stopped H&G from attending a couple of matches and once even made it essential that Hicks leave under a police escort. And they put these billboards up too, it was in all the press and caused the public eye to be opened to the plight of LFC.

      Now apologise to Merlboo.

I'm looking forward to when H&G sell the club for a profit of 200-300mill, and SOS jump up claiming it a victory for their fine work of pushing the owners out.

all the above mentioned ... which cannot be understated with the local press, who had been
unequivocally shocking in their non coverage before the billboards

Congratulations Merlboo for bringing SOS to EST..

Top two threads and god knows how many links..

You still need to lose the "Union", "Gang of Knobheads" tag though.

SOS tend to rub people up the wrong way at times which is one of the problems. If you are struggling to get support from LFC supporters something is wrong.

                shanks and liverpool tj

i'm just a regular lad who goes the match

my dreams are the same as yours and thats of gathering cups in may

i'd love to go back to my old matchgoing experiences of discussions on anything from the new kit to LFC car mats and stickers, but all of thats been lost in whats become a fog of war

i long for them days to return but alas now i feel a duty to help end the parasites tenure , and only then can i wile away the hours debating the merits of such joviality

the 5 commitee members attending on friday will consist of

a solicitor who owns his own company

                    2 job centre managers

an accountant with a well established company in Liverpool town centre

                    and a well known musician

they are well versed in these meetings and will be articulate but firm

Spirit of Shankly will be well represented ... i can vouch for that
just because the men sos sends are working in well respected jobs in higher positions does not at all imply that they know how to go about this certain business on hand, nor does it imply that they know how to conduct themselves on occassions like this.

the aims of sos are admirable. and i do applaud their commitment.
but like many have pointed out before me, it's the way they conduct themselves in public that makes loads of people suspicious.

this is simply a political affair in my book: sos want to be the well respected voice that club officials happily listen to or even take advice of in times of trouble or simply be such heavy-heights that they can't be ignored. conducting yourself like a cock-of-the-walk bully might gain you some street credibility but will not get you any sort of respect from both a majorty of fans or board members.

all sos do, be it their 'debt, lies, cowboys' campaign, their protets or their self-rightous amateur interviews; all that reminds me very much of the style and conduct of the populist austrian party of the late mr. haider. and that's not a compliment. far from it.

Merlboo- I applaud you for making the effort. Iv never been a fan of s.o.s and im still not but I sure that you yourself as a campaigner has the right intentions.

I just wish that we Liverpool fans could organize ourselves behind some well respected figures and find a way to fight these yank *******s. It saddens me that we bicker amongst ourselves at a time where we need a united front to force these people out of our club

aye totally agree - it's the biggest struggle - uniting so many different people behind one banner/figurehead if you like.

SOS have tried, but for whatever reasons, haven't succeeded in getting everyone behind them. - As i mentioned in the other thread - if SOS could find the reasons as to why they only have around 6000 signed up members and then it could be addressed. Why is there like 25000 season ticket holders not signed up, why is there 20000 members on a facebook group not signed up? etc etc

the way i see it - at most there is what you could call a few hundred 'active' members in SOS - the rest, have just paid a tenner so they can they say - "i'm a member of sos what have you done?" well nothing, but neither have u really.

I think what is needed is a proper, concrete, interested party for a takeover to come in - lay their terms on the table, align themselves with the fans, get a popular figurehead to back them (a respected legend) and then you would see every fan get behind them and together. - At the moment there is too much in limbo and too much pissing in the wind.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Has anyone in SOS thought of just WHO we could use amongst ex-players as figureheads to FIGHT the Yanks? What about the likes of Lawrenson, Aldridge or Molby who've ALL had a go at them in the media recently?

My two main ideas for figureheads though would probably be either Phil Thompson whose publicly SLATED them a number of times on TV or Steve Nicol whose a respected coach and voice in sports over THERE (on their seemingly 'invincible' home turf where they 'think' they can't be touched) and whose also had a go at their ownership MORE than once. Surely it's not without the bounds of possibility to get one of the above names on board and co-ordinate SOS's attacks on the Owners THROUGH them? I Think IF SOS are to step up a level - As sooner or later they MUST. Then they NEED to do this. Just thought I'd give you a few ideas as to WHO to use that's all. Hope they're of help. Would like to do all I can to help fight the Yanks - Which isn't much as I'm stuck down in Hertfordshire on Crutches but maybe my brain and typing can help a bit. Hope this is a good start.

Why are SOS meeting with Alex Ferguson ?
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

So basically they listened to your concerns and said there's nothing they can do
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
