Latest accounts of the premier league clubs

Not seen this posted (though it was a lazy search!).

Us, Mancs, and Chelski are in the worst financial positions.

Think short term...we're the most screwed though. Depressing.

Ours is crazy, we're (on paper) one of the most profitable clubs when you take turnover to wages as a ratio

        This is sad, sad reading!
Not just for us but for football lovers in general.
It's deeply frustrating to see this beautiful game turned into such a mess and a world wide disease - the combined debts for the Spanish La Liga clubs last season was £3,1 billion...
I'm getting ever closer to hoping that some sort of fan trust will take it over and run it in a fair, open and economically sound way instead of us being sold to a new foreign investor - and yes, that might mean goodbye to medals but I'd rather follow a decent and honest club in the Championship than a debtridden circus full of nasty clowns who have no other agenda than to milk LFC and us
Another 96.000 reasons to honour Rafa

I just hope someone has a cunning plan

I agree - i thought sonofastasibitch wrote off the "loan"/debt the club had but was not going to fund them indefinitely

I think he said he was going to take shares rather than have it as a loan, but he still hasn't done it.

If Roman leaves, the club will be buried.

That doesn't make sense, why would he leave

Surely the biggest loser in all this is Roman himself.

It was reported the other day that really all that has happened is that the debt is now with a holding company. The holding company owns all the shares in Chelsea. So while technically Chelsea have no debt to him the reality is somewhat different.

That would surely depend on how ruthless the Russian Oligarch is, he could asset strip, the land the ground and training pitches are on are bound to be worth an absolute fortune. Doubtful I know but then again possible.
