The super cup has got to be at least worth the same as a league cup? The lesser community shield might only a glorified friendly to many but ask Gibbon and Horseface if they care who wins?

I get the point and am not knock his achievements but I think counting those two is a little weak.

Not in my book but I guess it is a matter of opinion

Thing is with the trophy thing, it's ok us saying they don't count, or he's double counting...but when any stat looks at another manager and tots up the trophies won, these will also be included in their final count if they've won them.

Anyway, regardless, sounds like the Rafa i know and love, fighting talk, not letting the *******s grind him down, which i was afraid of not so long ago looking at him towards the end of the season....good on him.

Would so ****in love to see him/us get new owners and be handed a good healthy transfer kitty....I would love it!

And if he was...and won us the prem...watch the journos come out with **** like ... 'oh he needed money to win it'

The season before he got the boot, Houllier won 5 trophys in a single season (when counting the super cup and charity shield).

Its not about what he did in the past, its where he is now.

Over 5 years he has had more resources than Tottenham and Villa, and yet we have finished below them.

Also, the general football on the pitch has been very poor. He failed to correct this. And with no money, how is he going to get us back up there, without relying on Torres?

Last year, the feeling around the club was very positive despite the americans. Now its very negative, with the feeling even our second grade players want out. What has changed?

I really believe the only thing that can regalavnise some of the players, and the general mood is a change in management.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not sure he has more than Spurs tbh.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'm not at all sure about that, source?

We've had a better team/players if that's what Charley means. Far far better.

I do also find counting the Super Cup and Charity Shield in the trophy count, a little embarrassing and desperate TBH.

Villa perhaps, Spurs definitely not. Am sure someone has the spend/sold figures that get trotted out for an argument such as this.

Bottom line is that it has been documented, in figures that are publically available, that we have spent very little overall in the transfer market. So much so that I don't think you can say what you did with any real conviction. You're also discounting the pervious FOUR SEASONS when we finished higher than them. You can't say 'Over 5 years' for spend yet 1 for league position, no matter how much it aids your argument

Massively poor. Last season was utter **** wasn't it? Hated that 2nd place finish.
Torres' back up is a valid point though, that's the one thing I feel was a huge mistake. Again, how much of that was out of the managers hands is unclear though

                          I disagree

I think the whole post is incredibly negative, and doesn't take into consideration anything that would dissuade the tone of it. Opions are like arseholes o'course

As to your pentultimate potshot, I'd be pissed off if players were singing and dancing about finishing 7th.........

I agree. Although not being one for arguing for the sake of arguing, I can also take it in context....
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
