Nail biting finish with the heartstopping Dudek save from Shevchenko. Penalties were unbelievable. For a split second, I though Shevchenko had scored his penalty - but the roars and screaming sorted that one out.

The chaos at the airport at 3am was bizarre. Flights being called but the doors to the airport locked. Then when they did open, it was a free for all. Just get in a queue and find any old plane that was headed back to Liverpool.

I wanted to go to see "One Night In Istanbul" tonight in Liverpool. I'm certain it will be a great evening.
We were sat on the grass outside the building looking at the carnage inside. All of a sudden our flight was called and off we went back to Luton. Weird as ****. Travelled out with LondonLiverpoolRed from YNWA and my mate John, lost LLR on the way back

First Half - Sat alone in my living room with tears running down my face thinking how ****ed up was this and I wasn't gonna be able to face anyone in work again

Second Half - Sat alone in my living room with tears running down my face thinking how ****ed up the game of football is and how I'd just witnessed the highest of the highs you can get legally
        Cheers

I'm home now from watching One Night In Istanbul which was very, very funny and i would recommend it to any Red. The best part of the night was when Michael Shields, Phil Thompson, Sammy Lee and the man himself Rafa Benitez came on stage.

Seeing Rafa dance was quite alarming but everybody sang his name so loud and so long that he looked both humbled and embarrassed. In the end he motion for the audience to applaud the cast instead.

After the season we have just had this night was just what i and i imagine every other Red needed.

Anywho, i need to get my head down as i am up for work in 6 hours.

Damn i just noticed my wife was still logged in but ah well. SERVO1

I watched the match at home, alone. Wife went to bed instructing me not to make much noise, so as not to wake our daughter.

As we got battered, in the first half, I looked at my LFC mug and thought "jinx". Took it to the kitchen ans swapped it for a glass.

Made loads of noise running up and down the stairs attempting to relay the score "quietly". Was almost physically sick during the penalty shootout. My gooner mate was texting me from his house, hurt himself falling off his chair when our 3rd went in. Said he couldn't believe it.
I went to bed thinking "we are the best team in Europe. Shame we never do things the easy way" :-)
