I noticed on lfclive that kuntwar has already taken issue with this story on his ****e, from his title no doubt based (I refuse to give him hits) on the lack of any real quotes or evidence to confirm this supposed "budget" in the specific article..... however our negative net-spend in the last 4 windows, complete mess off the pitch, and what does seem to be legitimate problems we're having agreeing a ~£2.5m fee for this lad all give it quite a lot of credibility to me.Originally posted by rcasemore View Post

I leafed through the daily mail in a coffee shop this morning and it said that rafa's transfer budget is a whopping £5 million. Hardly a generous backing from hicks.

chris bascombe has said today that rafa will be given a £15m budget plus whatever he sells.
given that we're not in the CL next season its not bad. if we can sell £25 - £30m worth of players plus the reported £15m then its a £45m kitty.
and thats with keeping the spine of reina carra agger mascher gerrard. aquilani and torres.
