Without wanting to go into 'that' argument, this first choice players thing is nonsense. I'm sure every manager in the world would have a list of first choice players including Messi, Torres, Ronaldo, Xavi etc etc but 95% of managers have to make do without their 'first choice' transfer preferences.

I've always thought some of the stuff being bandied about by both sides (Rafa & H&G) were to advance an agenda & should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, Tony Barrett is pretty reliable. In light of this we're completely fooked.
