Where have you been for the last two years?Originally posted by oldschool View PostBefore I started reading this thread, I thought more people would be for his sacking, given the horrendous season we just had.
I get that he wasn't given Chelsea type money, everyone knows that. However lets not make it out like he has had to sell to buy, which is not the case. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Oh come on, this is pointless and very close to wuming. "Living up to price tags" is an indefinable judgement call anyway. Did Alonso live up to his price tag, £10.7m I believe it was? Is Torres not worth about 3 times what we bought him for? Reina'd probably go for about £20m. How about Lil Luis, £6m was it? Bargain. Arbeloa was a steal for peanuts, did very well for us. I could continue, but as I said, its pointless, some of Rafa's buys didn't work out as well as expected, some worked out at about their value, some worked out better. In results terms though, barring last season when things went really rather wrong, I don't think you can justifiably say he did particularly badly with the money he spent.Originally posted by oldschool View PostHas Kuyt lived up to his price tag? Besides, I checked your post history, you rated Cisse, that makes your judgement null and void
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

FFS pull your head out, I said IN A WHILE.Originally posted by Marsh View Postoh dear a person who says they havent looked at the figures but says we havent had to sell to buy.
obviously sky havent put it that way but if you can read and look at the facts it appears we have.
FFS poor Rafa with his huge payout and probably very little fight to keep his job.
For someone that is so loved, he sure didn't seem to put up much of a fight given how much money was due to him.
Please feel free to list all the players that are devastated by his departure.Last edited by oldschool; 04-06-10, 11:48 AM.

By the way, Kuyt was £10m & not a failure.
What other managers have wasted big money?
Hmm, Fergus: Veron (27m), Berbatov (£32m), Nancy (£17m), Anderson (£17m). Wenger spent big money on Wiltord & Reyes & Chelsea have spent more on rightback than we have our entire team since Abramovitch.
Ill-informed retard ****s like you are as intergral part of the problem at our club than our parasite owners.
I would chuck Hargreaves in there as well, but he also has lesser flops like Djemba two times and Kleberson plus Forlan and a vast array of keepers and Michael Owen plus overpaying for players like Carrick. But to be fair his record gives him license to **** up to a degree.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

well ever would be more accurate considering you dont know our net spend over the last few windows. it does indicate a sell to buy policy.Originally posted by oldschool View PostFFS pull your head out, I said IN A WHILE.

well after all that happened i think that it was clear he didnt have support and therefore couldnt really take the team forward.
but again as sky havent told you any of this i doubt it crossed your mind.

Just cos it wasn't in the papers on on the news doesn't mean he didn't fight. I'd guess that might be why he didn't leave at the end of the season and its taken until now for it to happenOriginally posted by oldschool View Posthe sure didn't seem to put up much of a fight given how much money was due to him.
