    Linked with another "quality" player

    Read in the norwegian page that we`re linked with Matthew Upson, again.
    Decent player, but nothing more.
    Could this mean that Paletta isn`t ready for a while yet?
    Would Upson be cheap?
    How good can be when the other club linked with him are Newcastle?

    Looks like we`re going for quantity, not quality.

    Or it could just be total bollocks like 99.9% of rumours are? He's barely played in the last year or so anyway due to injury.

        To be fair, they were in for Kuyt, but "chose not to sign him". Newcastle are linked with everyone, but that's because Freddie Shepard is transfer spastic.

          Do you actually believe this ****?
          We have Agger, Carra, Sammi and Paletta with Hobbs hovering in the background.
          To think that we would spend any serious ammount of money on Upson is naive IMO. Does anyone think he would be happy warming the bench for his entire stay?.

            Jesus Christ. Why are we being linked to all these Aston Villa type players? Upson is so AVERAGE it's unbelievable.

              it's bollocks, it would be a pointless signing unless we're going to play him in a full back position.
