    Bring back......

Ian Rush, or get in someone similar.

People may go on about lack of form of certain players, Rafa's selection mistakes etc. and it may be true but it is NOT the main problem.

The main problem is in fact a severe lack of conviction in front of goal. The only way to fix this is to bring in a top quality coach.

2 examples yesterday. Kuyt and Garcias headers. People have, no doubt already forgotten about these chances but only because the people in question made such a woeful attempt, they didn't even look like chances. The fact is they were ****ING SITTERS and if Kuyt had of put his away at 0-0, the match would of been a totally different story.

Take Bolton at the reebok against us. 2 shots on target - 2 goals. Take Manu at Wigan last year. 1 shot on target and TWO ****ing goals.

The point is , it's goals that win games. **** defending (well it is important obviously) but if we can't put the ball in the back of the net, we'll win nothing. Goals change games, as the old saying goes.

How many hours have we gone without scoring away from home this season? This is just not on for a team like Liverpool. Something is not right in the coaching setup. Oh, and bring back Fowler.

Rush was a great striker. But ultimately he's a thick *******.

Too right. While he was an all-time great as a player, he couldn’t inspire a cat in desperate need of inspiration. He’s thick and has already failed miserably in his ventures into management/coaching.

Not a bad idea to get someone in to coach the strikers, particularly in the air. Crouch isn't as good in the air as he should be. Kuyt's header should have done better.

Not sure it needs to have been a great striker though. I'd be looking for a great coach not a great player. Not necessarily the same thing.

Is he thick? He comes across as though he might be, but whenever I hear him talking he does seem to have a great understanding of what a striker's role is in the context of the team.

Gary Mac is a certainty to come in at some stage. he will sort out the set pieces and help with the midfiels play.

Are there any top quality coaches(unemployed) in the striking department? People seem to think Rush was a bit thick from reading above but he did a good job for us a few years back, did he not?

Lets just buy top class strikers and will be good enough

what is this fasination about Gary Mac?

He came in and played well for part of a season, the following he was average. What has he done to suggest he'll make a good coach? Manager of Coventry for a couple of seasons. Losing a wife is as sad as it gets but not sure if this alone should get him a job. I'm intrigued on this one. I also think his contribution as a player was vastly over estimated. I remember pulling my hair out in frustration at times.

If that's what your like, you'll soon be sporting a Reece hair-do the way we're playing

Unforgivable?! Er, sorry? Am I forgiven?

Of course I meant no offence to Rushie - he was my hero in the 80s. If he's dyslexic then so be it, it's unfortunate, but he is a bit dense. He doesn't strike me as the management/coaching type AT ALL. Bit like Glenn Roeder.

This is such a Partridge-esque quote

"Lynne you couldn't present a ....cat".

Shaggy you are turning into him.
