    Strike partnership

Working on the assumption that 2 up front is what we need, what would your preferred 2 be and why? Assume all players are fit.

I'd go for Fowler and Crouch. Possibly a bit controversial but I tend to judge people on what they've done and not what they might be able to do.

Fowler - gets the nod based on his past achievements, his form at the end of last season and his excellent link up and passing.
Crouch - partners him because he's the only one who can score regularly. We also need to stop him losing the red hot streak he was on a few weeks ago.
Kuyt - works hard most of the time and has an exceptional goal scoring record....in holland. Needs to settle and prove himself when given chances. A lot of potential but doesn't deserve to start quite yet.
Bellamy - quite frankly i'm amazed and disappointed at his signing. has achieved nothing at any previous clubs other than annoy the fans, management and fellow club goers. Use him as a last resort until he's proven he deserves a place. Pace alone isn't enough to justify a start. Well out of his depth i'm afraid.

I'd just like to see Fowler get a game. His best years my be behind him, but how exactly can playing him be any worse than the performances so far?

crouch and kuyt, want to see more of robbie for the last 20 mins of games too.
Bellamy has been **** so far. Crouch is statistically one of the most inform stikers in europe right now

            And kuyt just looks class.

I just want to see Kuyt in every game, so not bothered who his partner is, horses **** horses as the needs merit it.

Home games maybe 2 up front, although striker(s) as wingers in a 4-3-3 is also acceptable.

If Kuyt needs help or needs resting, then Crouch to come off the bench as an impact player.

my main "gripe" at the moment is...what has Crouch done to suddenly find himself benched? maybe the anser lies in this next question - what has bellamy done to deserve a start? other than run fast??

I was far from impressed with the signing of Crouchy initially, but he has one so many people over, has proved people wrong, and is the one player at the moment who actuall deserves his place in the team. To go from ours and englands most likely scorer to a bit part player whilst still on top of his game is truly bizarre. He MUST have had a falling out Rafa. Can't think of any other reason...

Crouch certainly deserves his place at the minute. I'd go with Crouch and Kuyt.

People need to get over the sentimentality and nostalgia - we all love him but Fowler is well passed it and at best is cut out for a sub's role against the lesser sides at home

Yeah, he did ok against Bolton, Blackburn, Fulham etc.

Against Sheff Utd and Everton this season though he was absolutely woeful.

Bellamy and Kuyt lets just stick it out and play them for a number of games. They both proved they can score and im sure they will for us.
