they cant always play every game in the prem though.

what the hell are those glasses that edgar davids is wearing on itv now?

sami looked finished till he was used sparingly that really gave him a new lease of life.

i think fans are very sentimental and this leads to us wanting heros to carry on and on and they cant .

Yes I guess he'll be phased out as he gets older but I still think Carragher has at least another year of playing regularly in him.

Possibilities might be Yaya Toure (but I think other teams will have more pulling power there) or Gilberto Silva (does the role for Brazil but probably left the PL at the right time and isn't going to get better physically at his age).

A taller version of Mascher would be more than welcome to our team

With no summer to rest I do actually fear for Carragher. He's been turned to easily by average players in games v the USA and Algeria.

He did pretty well, thought he had a better game than Terry, who very nearly made a big booboo

I thought he had a decent game. Booking was harsh considering the guy wasn't ever getting to the ball.

I think he his more secure though with a ball playing CB next to him.

I thought he looked very, very nervous for the first 30mins yesterday, then did fine for the rest of the game. Never seen Carra look so nervous before.

He had an OK game without being outstanding.

Think the card was well warranted though.......sure James was bound to spill it to the forward even if he got to it first
Seriously though.....a deliberate block through on goal is a foul, so the ref made the right decision.....as with all these type of things, if it was Vidic blocking off Torres, we'd expect the card to come out in the same situation.
