We will win the league this season

That's what i'm saying and i'm sure that Rafa and all the players will be rallying together to set the tone for a 10 game winning run. Everything is possible and it's still October and 8/10th of the season still to go.

I'm fed up of all the doom and gloom since yesterdays result ... We are still the same team as last season albeit with more quality players to chose from. We'll be there, i'm sure of that and Rafa has proved that in Spain and even here ... It's just two steps back and three steps forward. I expect a very strong team against Reading just to bring back that confidence. We'll see a different Liverpool team as from now on as we have character in the side.

Come on guys ... Let's pull behind the players.

Still possible but our chances have been made very slim by this abysmal run. I know we've had tough away fixtures but the poor performances in those games has meant confidence is at a low now. Still keep alive the hope but it resides as just that, hope rather than the genuine expectation of a strong title challenge that there rightly was at the start of the season.

Yes, but we want the players to pull behind each other!! (in a non sexual totally footballing kind of way).

If we got 100% effort I would not complain, but yesterday was gutless!!

Yes it was but i'm sure they'll be pulling in the same direction as from now on. Sometimes players need a kick in the arse (and particularly Stevie). They'll come good in time.

But may i add that we was farer points wise at the same time last season. Was it 17 or so points behind Chelsea ? We've made a fantastic run in and we were the better team in the remaining 29 games. Rafa knows what he's doing in terms or rotation and the team should be fresher in the run in and will be benefitting from what he's doing now. When the team is ready and flying he'll stop the rotation and play a more settled side ... With one or two alterations in some positions.

I've seen nothing this season that gives me the confidence to think we can. The maths is fine but realism kicks in and tells me we are light years away from being good enough to overtake Arse, Chelski, and Manure this season. We'll believe alright but being a football fan blinds you to an extent. We had a storming run last season but ultimately Chelsea won at a canter, and we could defend last season.

We've not become a bad team overnight ?? United had the more settled side from the off this season. We'll see when they'll lose Saha or even Rooney for long spells if they're capable of sustaining this run. I've seen some glimpses of improvement from us this season, attacking wise. But we've failed at defending and that may be due to some players not being at their best. Rafa's team are so athletic and his style of play is all about playing compact and high up the pitch, so it demands total physical condition.

You have to have been a good side to go bad. We have been average this season. You have accounted for Manure but all three sides look strong. We don't. Something is amiss and we seem to have too many ready made excuses...nightmare fixtures, internationals, injuires...blah blah blah. These things happen to other sides as well and they are coping. You have to ask why we aren't.

if i ever thought we would win the league, we would of had to be pushing really close the year before.

we finished 3rd comfortably last yr, but never put pressure on chelsea.

Yes, I agree. Which is why it remains possible. But sadly, it does not make it probable. It's like if we were 3-0 down at HT in this season's CL final. The fact we've done it from that position before means we should believe in the possibility, but at the same time we have to recognise that it took a lot of things coming together for that to happen.

It is by no means guaranteed we will start to click and go on runs like we did last season. A lot of changes need to occur for that to happen, and they need to occur soon.

                          You're grumpy indeed.

Fact is we haven't been able to start off the way we finished last season but we're still 11 points off the top after only 9 matches. Rafa and the players know where the problems lie this season, and i fully expect them to rectify this situation for the remainding of the season. We have quality throughout the side and that always pulls through no matter what.

I admire your optimism Fredo, but if we win the league this season I will run around Manchester with my willy hanging out, singing LFC songs.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I will hold you personally responsible if we don't rectify the problem.
