    The Liverpool way

    Right guys,

I know that the club has been washing it's dirty linen in public for some time now however they have been very quiet of late (last few weeks/month) in that we've not heard anything about who the new manager is likely to be.

Also more importantly there have been no real snippets come out in the press about the progress of the club's sale.

I'm not defending the board here in anyway as I was not happy with their treatment of Benitez however they have been pretty quiet which I guess is what we all wanted wasn't it.....sort of.

    What do you think?

It could be possible that things are happening in the background with the sale of the club and it's highly likely talks are ongoing with managerial candidates but to be fair to Martin Broughton he has stuck to his word so far in that no news of the takeover will be issued in public until things are definite.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

They didnt sack rafa in a quiet liverpool way and that wasnt that long ago.

THe hiring of a new manager there is a world cup which takes alot of the coverage away.

Also maybe nothing has happened on the takeover front?

Just because they are tearing the club apart from the inside out on the quiet we are meant to be pleased?

I admire your optimism, but it's unfortunately likely to be heinously misplaced

All we've had since Rafa has gone is Hodgson, Hodgson, Hodgson with the odd bit of Dalglish and Pellegrini thrown in.

I dont think theres any news on the takeover because like most good journalists have mentioned no one wants to go near us with that laughable asking price.

Hopefully we will wake up one morning with new owners and a new manager.

I think the World Cup may have taken some of the headlines away from us.

It's actually nice not to be in the headlines for the change especially after the year we've just had.

I hope to god that there's someone looking at buying the club. I am optimistic even in the midst of all the doom and gloom surrounding us that there is someone out there who's willing to take that chance.

Hopefully the board are actively doing something to try and get us out of this situation and they're not just going behind everyone's backs with this.

Not meaning to be controversial here, but isn't this also down to the fact that Benitez is no longer at the club? He was a political animal after all, rightly or wrongly.

oh his political actions are the reason he was sacked. That political skill got him huge support and as there was a hint that they could get away with sacking him they did.

Under the Liverpool way he wouldnt have needed to be a political animal.

Think how long since they sacked Rafa through the press when he was on holiday and the players (that they tried to say didnt want him, then tried to forget they had given that reason) had just left the country. ITs not months ago is it.

Also on the purchase front maybe nothing is happening. Oh and we have only heard about the Rhone group putting a bid in despite rumours of other rejected bids.

I really dont see a return to a Liverpool way at all.

There is a world cup which is taking all the football attention oh and Englands poor showing so far and the vuvuzela are getting more press.

I think there is a bit of straw clutching going on here.
