Gerrard - Roy Right Man for the Job!

Not sure if this has already been posted or not lads!

Just read similar on the BBC site. Carragher also seems happy. He won't have 100% backing from fans from the off (it seems), but I'll be behind him. All this talk of speech impediments and the like is sub-standard bs.

well as club captain he's hardly going to say - "roy hodgson, wtf - **** it, i'm signing for inter"

Anyway - actions speak louder the words, firstly lets see if he commits to the club, secondly lets see if he stops his sulking and gets back to being the player we know he is
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Clearly neither Carra or Gerrard were against the removal of Benitez. They haven't mentioned him at all which makes me even more sure that alot of the players had totally lost interest in his ways

i am flabbergasted that only reina and masher have uttered any words of support to our ex manager.

I think people read too much in to the carefully selected quotes the media chooses to feed us.

In fairness, I think the players know who signs the checks and this is a business first and foremost. It is completely out of their control who Purslow hires, fires sells and buys; I think it is great that Pepe and Javier opened up about their feelings, but it's not like Gerrard is setting the media on fire about ANYTHING; did he even speak as England captain? Does he ever say much more than sport cliché platitudes when he talks to the press? The old manager is gone and players now have to look at the political landscape of the club and start paving a way for their place. So, I don't mind it, really... it is probably smarter to keep quiet.

The ones who really bother me are the ex-players... so many of them let me down this past month. Disgrace.

Fans on the other hand? It is completely our place to let everyone know. People here in American have NO IDEA what I'm talking about, but I'm so down and furious over the way this has happened; mostly because I can't believe that so few see it as I do when it seems so obvious to me the depth of the problems at Anfield. Sad, really, but I can't blame the current players who have to get up and get ready for Arsenal.

and I am not at all surprised. The writing was on the faces of most players well before the final cull.
