Torres on WC

Am I the only one who thinks that Torres is playing injured? He isn't quick, almost doesn't run and when he does it looks akward. Could it be that he's "forced" to play.

nope he's not right at all at the moment.

I am quite happy to see him out there though getting match fitness back (as long as he doesn't break down again!) as hopefully he'll start the season well for us

And yes I am banking on him still being here next season!

He was awful to watch. No pace, no fitness, no strength, no agility etc. Pretty sad sight.

If there is anything good in this is that Spain are still in WC so he can get few more games.

He's lost pace. Whether he re-finds an extra couple of gears again when he gets himself in good condition - he's clearly not match-fit - is another matter....I don't know. But for now, he's definitely lost some of his pace and mobility. Two knee operations in a year and all those hamstrings will inevitably take their toll sooner rather than later.

This shouldn't surprise us. Torres only has two settings, absolute 'world class' and 'Heskey'. When he's coming back from injury his first 5 games are always Heskey. He doesn't noticeably start picking up afterwards, he just goes straight to world class again. Yes, Del Bosque is definitely doing us a favour by knocking Heskey out of him.

ohhh thought this had something about torres saying he was wank....not everyone else's opinions!! think need to change title.

But yes he looks fooked. Class is permanent he will be back
