It all went wrong in pre season

I've just been looking back at our results so far, and I think it's fair to say we all knew something amiss when we went away for our pre-season training camp. I know we all tried to say it was just abut getting the fitness but realistically it all started going wrong there.

Wins against Haifa and Chelsea gave us confidence that we were right with our assumptions, but lets be honest it's all gone downhill from there.

We scraped a win v West Ham and played some terrible football leading up to the next Chelsea match, we then played well and lost. But then proceeded to pick ourselves up and played well in the next 3 games, until second half vs Galatasary and have been woeful ever since.

So is there something that's been rumbling since that pre-season trip, did the players not recover from being knocked out of the world cup, and that mood carried on when we started to loose games in the prem and Europe, or are there other reasons for it.

We got a glimps of how well we can play first half v Gala which was a joy to behold, and we've seen our worst - second half v Scum.

Some might blame the buys for the poor performances, but are they really any worse than the departed Cisse, Morrientes, Traore, (hamman excepted) did they contribute to the morale of the team, I know Hamman, Traore and Cisse were all well liked, Morrientes i assume was as well.

It's just a thought but I can't think of many other reasons for our dire performances.
