We're not all being mugged here are we? I mean, it HAS to mean something. A Liverpool scarf isnt part of the Spain kitbag, for him to have our scarf with him, he must have consciously chosen to take it and then consciously DECIDED to wrap it around himself for the photos.

Surely it can only mean one thing. I see no logic whatsoever in him doing that with the scarf if he's thinking about moving on.

If he stays next season he will loved even more, if that is possible. Infact, home games could be called homo games.

I agree, he may not have taken it there himself and may have been handed it by a fan from the crowd. But he still made the concious decision to wear it knowing full well the world and his wife would be taking photo's.

Possibly, but another explanation could be it was just thrown to him from a fan in the ground. There was certainly no shortage of Liverpool fans in the grounds this summer, plenty of shirts/scarves etc.
Granted he put it on him etc etc, but I wouldn't read too much into it, especially given the emotional high........no different than Gerrard emphatically stating "how could I leave this" on the pitch after Istanbul, before almost being hours from signing for Chelski, only for a last minute turnabout.

              That's the pessimistic view.........which as a Liverpool fan, I specialize in......but here's hoping..

My thoughts exactly - and if he had chosen not to wear it, that may have sparked more 'Torres is leaving' rumours...

Yeah, i know what you mean. But there's absolutely no logic in putting the scarf over himself for the pictures, if he wants out.

Some of those pics were taken in the dressing room - not the most difficult place to find somewhere to just put the scarf, out of sight, if necessary.

He deliberately chose not to put it down though. Has to mean something.

The Gerrard comparison might be a little off, IMO because he pinpointed that he only wanted to leave because LFC were pissing about and officials going on holiday instead of getting his new contract signed up - and this made him feel like the club preferred to take the transfer fee rather than wanted to keep him. I dont think anyone, not even the most stupid person known to man, could possibly state with any logic that LFC would want to sell Torres.

I was there & Pepe (the mad fecker he is) went into the stands to fetch his little girl who was wearing a Liverpool shirt with 25 on the back. He then paraded with her on his shoulders on the pitch - what a character, love him!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Amazing how much we are reading into all this . Oh the desperation of being an LFC fan

As for a fan chucking it at him, it's possible, but in several different photos he has it proudly draped over his shoulder, another his arm, then tied round his wrist. He, without a shadow of a doubt, wanted to send us a message. He's staying!

That's how i see it too. He was in the dressing room for some of those pics, it would've been piss easy to put the scarf out of sight, if he was conscious about not wanting it to be pictured with him.
