Well I really hate to be the one to poop a party, but all of Craig's posts today seem to be a laughing smiley. Maybe someones hacked into his account or maybe his keyboard is just broke.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Nemeth wants to stay a Red
                  Written by Darren Phillips
                  Thursday, 15 July 2010 08:02
Krisztián Németh has not joined the Reds squad for pre-season training in Switzerland and Austria amidst speculation he may well be leaving Anfield.

The 21-year-old who recently earned a senior international debut and played in the Greek top flight last term wants a chance to stake his claim for a place in the Liverpool first team.

Though he accepts such decisions are ultimately for the club Németh's agent, Tibor Pataky, said his client would prefer a further period out on loan this term rather than leave.

A permanent switch to Serie A outfit Lecce is on the table.

"Krisztian has a very clear opinion. He wants to stay as a Liverpool player, and his wish is to be successful as a Liverpool player, if Liverpool will give him a chance to fight," he said.

"For now he is back at Melwood, he is working hard and looking forward. If he feels he will get a chance to make the jump into the first team, he will do everything he can to do so. But if not, then he is happy to go for maybe half a season to another club on loan."

Pataky who seems to have done some homework on the new Anfield boss added: "There have been no discussions with Roy Hodgson yet, but we know a lot about the philosophy of the manager from Zoltan Gera [who Hodgson managed at Fulham]," he said.

"But we must stress, first it is for Liverpool FC to decide on Krisztian's future.

"He has complete faith in the club. If they want him to return to AEK, then we will think about it. If they want him to go to one of the Italian clubs who are showing an interest, then we will think about it.

"He trusts himself of course, but he is also realistic. If Liverpool say he can fight for a first team place, then he will do so. If not, he will respect their decisions."

They were when he looked like he was going to develop into a class player. But he had a couple of injuries that seemed to slow his progress and 3 goals in 17 games for ASEK Athens is hardly great.

I'd like to see him loaned out until January and then for us to judge him then personally.

Yeah some people did – i never really got too excited – I knew he’d looked good in the ressies, but he never even got close to the first team not even for a carling cup game, and for me the signing of ngog killed any hope of nemeth making a break through. Obviously his injuries didnt’ help either - he’s 21 now, coming into what would be his 4th season at the club and not really made any impact........He’s the same age as Ngog(actually a few months older) and miles behind, and he’s now fallen behind Pacheco in the pecking order. Plus I have hopes that Dalla Valle will break through in the next year or two. So for me, we have three young up and coming strikers at the club all better placed than nemeth.

Good luck to him, it’s a shame injuries seemed to stop him a bit but it’s time for him to go and i don’t see this coming back to haunt us tbh.

It does make me laugh though, most of the people who clamoured for Nemeth (born Jan ’89) to be played, slated the likes of insua (born Jan ’89) and ngog (born April ’89) being in the first team and playing. Imo from watching them all in first team/reserve team or under 21’s international action – Ngog and Insua where miles and miles ahead of Nemeth. – And for me both Insua and Ngog struggled at times and where thrown in the deep end which I felt was a bit harsh (insua became first and only choice left back and Ngog had to replace Torres for most of the season) – god only knows what might have happened if we threw Nemeth in there.

I think it’s important that people remember that, for me Insua should be back up to a good first choice left back who he can learn from, and come in to cover. The same for Ngog, we should have had Torres, one other, then ngog in that position.

I wonder why he's been left behind then? I hope we keep him and he proves his worth.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

It's good that he wants to stay, I guess the wanting to go on loan suggests that he doesn't think he is ready to compete for a first team place here (maybe this is because of the injuries) but I think a loan move could be good for him and us.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If he’s to go on loan - i’d like to see him go to someone in the premier league or higher level of championship with the view that he is actually going to get played.

                                - if he went to a decent footballing side where he got to play regularly it would be good – no point sending on loan to somewhere just to be a ressie. – If he went to a prem side or good championship side and got to play 25+ games (injury permitting) then I think we’d be in a better position to assess
