I think alot of people had a bit of a downer on Aquilani last season. I'm hoping that he is now recovered from his injury and with a full pre-season behind him can become one of our key players this season and become the player we though we'd signed last summer.

It was a shame for Rafa that his big gamble for last season didn't pay off. And ultimately, it cost him his job. No way he would have gone had we sneaked 4th IMO. And a fully fit and available Aquilani would have made the difference I feel.

Hopefully the slow introduction of Alberto will pay dividends this year and make up for his poor season last time out. Actually, bit unfair to call it poor, as it never really got started.

I'm looking forward to watching him this season - he did show glimpses of class towards the end of last season. Hopefully we can see the real Aquilani this year.

I personally don't think that will be the case. If he performs and liverpool win games he will be fine. If he doesn't adapt and LFC have a bad season, he will get stick.

To me that is a big question.

If he shows the same talent as he did in Roma before the injury he could have a monster season.

I just hope Roy plays him regularly as he needs to gain the confidence back.

Neither do I. He is a type of player that if he returns to previous form will be great to watch.

I don't think that's the case, I think that the bad season we had last year works in his favour, his performances will be compared to those of last season rather than those of Alonso the season before last.
