Yeah very interested to see how Hodgson lines the team up, hard to know as Cole might be off the front man if rumours led ya to believe, i dunno mate all depends on who else comes in to and the formation Roy chooses, good complaint maybe?

If cole does play through the middle,Gerrard will most likely drop back into CM.I can't see Hodgson trusting him and Aquilani together defensively so Aqualini might be seeing more of the bench I'm afraid.

Yeah i complettely agree mate, suppose its just a matter of if its Lucas alongside Gerrard (which worries me) or a new signing, personally i think Roy will sign a DM that will be in the starting eleven meanign Lucas and maybe Aqua will be on bench, hard to know.

SG and Aqua would be fine for games against weaker teams that park the bus. Bring in Lucas/AN Other defenisve midfielder for tougher games.

Mascherano may well still be here until the next window.

By the sound of Roy Hodgson's view on it he's not going to let him go easily. The Italians will need to come up with the asking price within a month

£30m or nothing. Not only that but he'll want the money early because if he doesn't get to spend it before the window closes it'll be gone to RBS.

I hope you're right although you wouldn't be shocked to see the Yanks bite someones hand off for £20 - 25 M would you? Obviously not for Roy to reinvest into the squad!

Glad we're standing firm on Masch, suppose at the end of the day he is the one who wants to leave, if Inter want him so badly then they will pay the asking price.

P.S. £30 million would be sensational for a DM

Well, according to Rafa he's worth £35 million or so, so i'd expect him to offer at least that much.
