    'resting' world cup stars

Seeing as everyone else is speculating. How about this for a conspiracy...

We're not going to play people in early European games so that they don't become Euro-cup tied and lessen the price / interest... ??

while that could be true i think we're not going to play them because our new physio team has told us not to.

The players need resting and it's a great idea not to play them. We should beat whoever we play with a weakened team. Worst case scenario and we go out and have to concentrate on the league - hardly a bad thing with the size of our squad at present.
      Forwards.......

Play youngsters and bench players in Europa League.

Every cloud has a silver lining and in our case missing out on CL we can focus on PL and have well rested (less injury prone) first team for each and every game.

All teams are resting WC players and especially those that made it further than the group stage.

            Everybody needs time to rest.

I hadn't noticed the new "Another EPIC Pablo WIN"

How much did it cost to have the FAIL changed to WIN ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Jealousy! Not as much as it would cost you to have that labotomy so you're not a SB anymore

The players need some time off between the World Cup and the start of the season regardless of the transfer situataion, this happens at most clubs.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Concentrate on getting ourselves back where we belong at the top table of European football. The likes of Villa and Spurs rested players for this mickey mouse cup, that says it all about its prestige these days.

Because if you want them to be at the top of their physical condition and you want them to be sharp then they need time off. Not just physical rest but mental too. Alot of those guys haven't had a month off in 2-3 years. If they don't get a rest now then by November their bodies won't be able to perform as well as is needed in the premiership.

OK grandpa? This isn't the army, this requires better fitness and sharpness
