we have a scouting system that compiles info and dossiers for Rafa. Rafa compiles a shortlist. This same scouting system is what roy'd use at least during the first year or two.

Rafa goes, Cecil says ' here's rafa's shortlist, we've started off negotiations on the signing/sale of players x, y & z. let us know if you want us to change course on any of this.'

roy of course says 'yes boss' as thats all he's here to do isnt it...

and then we sign cole and wilson, sell insua, masher, degen, riera and spend on who roy identifies/ approves.

Just seen an interview on the offal where Hodgson is issuing another plea to the supporters that he'll try his utmost to restore this club to its rightful place. He is also fully aware that he is stepping into the shoes of a popular manager in Rafa. Not sure what he's referring to when he says 'we'. Is it the players or him and Purslow?

One thing is sure, Cecil is signing some of Rafa's targets, Wilson being the example.

I think we will have to question if they are Benitezs targets or they are in fact the targets of Eduardo Macia.

I think he means the whole club mate, as that is always what people mean when they say "we".
