His ****ing job is to play to the best of his ability where our manager tells him to play.If he dosen't like it he should stop behaving like a two year old and piss off.

      Exactly.

Does he not realise? I mean for ****’s sake, he won PFA Player of the Year last season playing predominantly in that position. Did he not think “ooh, it’s alright this…Rafa might have a point!”?

Play where you are ****ing told man. However great a player he is, he is NOT the manager and he’s not playing for Steven Gerrard FC.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

          Hear, hear!

Yes, Gerrard is a phenomenal player BUT no-one player will ever be bigger than Liverpool Football Club.

maybe it has nothing to do with attitude, maybe he looks miserable because he realises he is playing badly, like the rest of the team.

where did he say that, ive had a look and havent seen him say anything like that
he said he was playing **** just like the rest of the team.
there seems to be no middle ground fro gerrard according to some fans
hes either a super ****ing hero saviour etc etc or hes a grumpy so and so who has head problems etc etc

OK - you're going to find out on Sunday.

It's me. I've been playing hide the sausage with Alex C.

Popped around a few months back to get some more insider gossip from Stevie (my mate) but he wasn't in.

She asked me in for a coffee and before I knew it - we were at it hammer and tongue in the pool room.

I called her last week and told her I couldn't do it any more (cheat on a mate). But the milkman heard me shouting through the intercom and has blabbed to one of the rags.

People have to stop being so unrealistic. We're dealing with humans here not robots. If someone has to do something they don't want to do then they're not going to like it. If SG thinks he's better in CM and he's continually played at RM in a losing streak what do you think is going to happen? He's going to be pissed off about his role in the team it's ****ing obvious it's human nature.

Add to that the fact that he would've been expecting to play CM this season anyway as Rafa had indicated he would be playing there in interview when talking about Didi leaving - you don't need that much empathy to see where Stevie is coming from. The situation has come about because Pennant has been **** meaning Steve plays on the right more, and because we're losing games. He's bound to be pissed off about it, I ****ing well would be it's demoralising ffs.

couldn't agree more. Yes he should play where he's told but as you say its only natural to feel pissed off if you're doing as you're told and the results are still ****.

Its time to stop trying to turn Gerrard into David Beckham or Frank Lampard and get him back to being our Keane/Vieira.

Another thing to throw into the equation when talking about SG's current mentality...

Its all well and good being pissed off playing where you don't want to but he still has to give his all for the team and the fans and manager to earn his wages and go out and do his bloody best.If the Baby thing has affected him than he should be given time off to sort his head out. When he plays he needs to show why he is captain and needs to be a leader on the pitch whether he enjoys playing where he is or not.He seemed to enjoy it last year so why not now.In my book he's done nothing in the middle consistantly well enough in any of his seasons for Liverpool to warrant being in there and so should accept the fact that he's a right mid until such time as we get a better one than Pennant.

Also he has never and will never hold a candle to Keane or Viera cos he's a completely different player.Even when those 2 played **** they where still able to get their team mates going.SG isn't a battling midfielder he's an excellent attacking midfielder who scores wonder goals which is how he inspires his team.Looked like he was sulking on sunday, you wouldnt catch Keane or Veira at that.

I'm sorry but you would catch both of them sulking plenty, but I understand your sentiment, i do think you're underestimating Gerrards ability in the midle though.

                                Agree.

Lets be honest here. If we were in his position we'd be well pissed off about having to play out of position to accommodate other players, who aren't anywhere near as good as you.
