Is just me, or does anybody find it a bit disrespectful when people to refer to him as 'Woy'. I realise it's meant in jest, but I just don't think it's particularly amusing, seeing it about 50 times a day.

Call me old-fashioned but I think you're over-reacting. It's just gentle teasing and no worse than when I first moved down south years ago and lots of cockney ****s of my acquaintance would call me "Scouse", the two syllables of my first name being one too many for their brains to tackle. I took it in good humour as I'm sure good old Woy does
