Defoe and Ferdinand injured, otherwise they'd have been in.

Wes Brown is in due to a derth of RB's. Zamora deserves a chance.

Ben Foster and Robinson are IMO are second and third best keepers. Wilshire and Gibbs are not good enough yet, but I reckon they will be in 2 years, which is what we are building towards. May as well play them in a meaningless friendly against a poor Hungarian team.
    Forwards.......

Send out the U21's or reserve FFS.
It's a friendly against Hungary at the most stupid time possible.

Who in Gods name sanctioned this?

That will still have an impact on teams, it just shouldn't be played, full stop.

That England squad is a joke
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson has pulled out of the England squad for Wednesday's friendly with Hungary and retired from international football.
The former Leeds and Tottenham keeper, 30, played at the 2006 World Cup but had drifted out of England contention until his recall for this game.
Robinson said he found the role of third-choice keeper behind Joe Hart and Ben Foster "very frustrating.
The Football Association says it has no plan to replace him in the squad.

we should tell the FA to **** off and the players will not be released due to the hectic summer they have had.
