Why has he decided now to retire? He's only 30 and the keepers spot is up for grabs

He said that he wanted to retire earlier but because he wasn't getting picked he didn't have a chance.
So he was waiting to get a recall so he could tell them to **** off
what a dick!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Do you know that for a fact mate? I cant figure out whether it'd be best for some of our boys to play for their countries, as the game time will be useful for them - or whether we're better off having them stay behind.Originally posted by pondus View PostDon't know if it's been posted, but the Netherlands has left out all world cup players from the squad, so Dirk and Ryan will stay home, and Reina has been left out due to a minor problem (?) and Torres is obviously not going. Lucas has the worst trip, as he is going to the US..

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has announced the squad that will take on Mexico in an international friendly later this month.
The world champions will take on the South American side at the Azteca stadium in Mexico City on August 11, a game in which striker Fernando Torrs will take no part.
The 26-year-old is still recovering from an injury sustained during the World Cup, and will likely miss the start of the Premier League season as well.
The Spain squad is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Casillas, Valdés
Defenders: Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Puyol, Piqué, Marchena, Capdevila, Monreal
Midfielders: Xabi Alonso, Busquets, Xabi, Cazorla, Cesc, Bruno
Strikers: Pedro, Jesús Navas, Mata, Villa, Silva, Llorente
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
