why rest him? he doesn't do enough to get tired in the first place. Sure he scores some fantastic and important goals but the rest of the time he's piss.
Maybe i should put it in another way; would you go out with a girl that was great in bed but only put out once or twice a year?
yes i would mate, never give up great sex, never
but i probably have a few birds on the side aswell

Sunday was the pits and as bad as it gets for Garcia. Had I been asked this at 3pm on Sunday, I'd have said "SELL HIM!".
I honestly thought he tried hard. Which was more than most of our other players could say. If you had asked me at 3pm on Sunday I would have sold all our players.

Luis winds me up! Every now and again he'll come up with a flash of genious, and then for the next ten days he'll disapeer. He should NOT have started against the Mancs, he is too small and weak to play in an away games of that ferocity and intensity, and this was proved in the Manc game where he was constantly easily shouldered of the ball when he had a great opportunites to shoot or put someone in. Best thing in this discussion ive heard is lfc4ever is stating that he would not start for Man U, Chelski or Arse, so this raises questions.
Rafa was quoted today as saying that Luis worked well, and created problems in between the lines against the Mancs, he must of been watching a different game to me.
Im not saying Luis is ****e but he should only start at home, and in physical, tight away games shouldnt be allowed near the pitch unless we are in dire striaghts or its a european game.
Luxury player waiting for the moment of genious he can offer, sadly it isn't enough to justify a starting position and should be a bench player ready to replace a winger or inside forward only when needed.
I keep going back to the same old phrase, would he get into any of the other top 4 sides teams, is he in the top 4 players in the PL for his position? Until we have a full compliment of team players that would fulfil that requirement, then we can have this debate for most of our current players, sadly.
sadly true.

To be honest we should be able to accomodate a luxury player in most matches. I would say he is as creative as say Rosicky has been for Arsenal, the difference being that we have been playing poorly as a team and they have been doing excellently of late.
If we have a well functioning midfield and defence he could be the ideal link player. He isn't the type of player or personality to drag a team into a game though and I guess in our current run of form that is what we need.

Re your first point, conceded, how many times do 10 players outperform 11, otoh we have a system that relies on 2 (fukkin 2!!) defensive m/f, so we need all hands on deck firing on all cylinders, and Garcia is a luxury we cannot afford until we can go to only having the 1 d/m/f, or, as your second point suggests, we have that well functioning m/f! And that is where we have been found out this year, there is no creative strength in the middle going forward or a box to box player through the middle.
The most annoying player playing for us but what a talent well worth keeping him even though he does give the ball away a hell of alot but worth that few bits of magic in a match.
Overall opinion Talented player
