Now, that Skrtel is fully fit who would you partner Carragher with...
    Skrtel or Agger???

For me, it's a tough call. Skrtel had a bit of a shocker last season in terms of injuries and form - not alone there in fairness.
However in the 08-09 season, when we hit the 86 points mark and really should have won the league...Skrtel was a rock alongside Carra in the heart of our defence...looked a class act. Surely that can't be forgotten?

Obviously Agger is a different type of player, more cultered and loves to to bring the ball out of defence. That's not to say he can't defend either, times his tackles well and produces some vital interceptions in games.

Overall, i'd be inclined to go with Skrtel as when he's on form the better out and out defender of the two.

I'd go for Agger, always rated him higher than Skrtel.

Skrtel's a big game player. Is Agger? i'm not so sure.

Sure you haven't got those the wrong way round?

Agger all day long for me. I'd hoped that Skrtel would be Carra's replacement, and he still might be, but last season he was ****e

                    Agger.
This type of question is what the phrase 'no brainer' was invented for.

Ask yourself this question, if we had to sell one of them which one would you sell and which one would you be desperate to keep??

99.9% of all Liverpool fans would be desperate to keep Agger
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Skrtel/the Greek to replace Carra when he needs a rest.

Agger every time. Class player who also adds to attack with passes and runs

I think it's easy to forget how impressive Skrtel was initially (after the H&W hiccup). If he can somehow become more dominant in the air (given his height he loses too many aerial battles) and cut out the rash, needless challenges from behind I think he could have a long future with us.

He was showing signs before his last injury that he was getting back to that sort of form.

Having said that, right now I'd pick Agger. And although I'd start with him against Arsenal, I don't think Carra can be assured of his place all season. On paper Skrtel/Agger looks a good pairing, albeit lacking in a truly dominant figure (as I touched on earlier re Skrtel).
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

agger is an easy choice. much better footballer than skrtel and pretty even defensivley. but for me, the argument shouldnt be agger or skrtel, it should be who partners agger. he is so composed, plays the ball out of defense, good positioning and good pace.......for me it should be agger and carra with skrtel pushing carra to replace him. said it a while back, our future should be agger and skrtel and i'm sticking to it.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
