Have to agree with that. Glaring weakness. Not dominant enough at the back and nowhere near enough of a threat at corners/set pieces in the other box. I'm sure he can improve on this though.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Despite his looks, he really is a big Ginny-Anne is Skrtel.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Gives away too many unnecessary freekicks for me but he's a decent stopper and should continue to show improvement and will be decent replacement for Carra when he hangs his boot up.

Improve on heading? Not when he's 25 already. You learn to head the ball when you're a teenager. Look at Crouch, didn't learn to head the ball with power at a young age because with his height, he could reach every cross while standing still. The problem with Skrtel is that he's fundamentally flawed. When you're 25 and fundamentally flawed, you're not going to be a good defender. You're not going to be a good enough player, period.

If Skrtel is the long term replacement for Carragher, I'm seriously concerned.

Centre halves normally mature like a fine wine. It's not his heading per sé that's the problem IMO, he just gets himself in the wrong position and as a result doesn't win enough headers. It's not his actual heading of the ball. I think that can be coached, he's still young for a CB.
