    Attacking midfield/wide options

    Gerrard
    Aquilani
    Cole
    Maxi
    Jovanovich
    Kuyt
    Babel
    Pacheco

I think we're well stocked in this area.

Plenty to choose from but still don't think we've got a top quality wide player.

Not fantastic options in terms of an out and out winger(s) but yeah the attacking midfield/off the front mans position is looking very strong.

I do however think Aquilani is a waste of space.

If we are taken over by the Chinese i would love to see us put a bid in for Rooney of about £60m just to piss the Mancs off and show them no one is out of our reach.

A bit harsh, let's give him a chance to impress now that he's getting himself fit.

Old Dirky Kuyt might just be wondering how he will get into the team now

He may be, but that's a good thing. Competition for places can only help, people know that if they dont perform, there's someone ready to take their place.

I just don't hold out much hope for Aquilani mate.

I don't see him as the type of player who can play a full 90 minutes in this league and stamp his authority on it.

I know he has loads of ability - super technique etc but i just think if he's too flourish you'd need two work horses in the middle of the park behind him.
And he ain't good enough to be afforded that luxury.

Lots of our team could do with looking at how quickly he moves the ball, he knows the pass before he get the ball

I think he needs confidence though as he needs to demand more of the ball

                      Yeah fair point.

I like Kuyt, but i'd be very surprised if he's one of the first names on the team sheet like he was under Rafa.

Kuyt is going to look like a world class player along side our new boys.

Hope so fella. Not knocking Kuyt, he plays his heart out every match and is a big game player.

Just think with Roy, he'll have more of a battle on his hands with a new manager at the helm.

Roy will have his own formations/tactics/ideas hence Kuyt might find it tough to get a game week in, week out.
