His 2nd goal last night was world class. Let's hope this is a sign that he is back to form this season. All we need now is fe Torres to stay injury free and bag some goals. Got a good feeling about this season.

That's weird, I thought he first was far better.Originally posted by Needles View PostHis 2nd goal last night was world class. Let's hope this is a sign that he is back to form this season. All we need now is fe Torres to stay injury free and bag some goals. Got a good feeling about this season.
I mentioned in another thread that I've changed my mind about him again. For the last few years I've thought bad thoughts when his head's been turned by other clubs. Now I'm more relaxed about it. He's been a fantastic servant to Liverpool and should have a cabinet full of trophies. He's not done badly at Liverpool but contrast his haul to that of someone like that weasel Neville and only then do you really appreciate how much he's sacrificed in order to stay with us. If he decides to do a stint at Madrid now then I'll be happy for him completely.
If he stays on form, Cole stays fit and Torres gets back to full strength then there's no reason why we shouldn't challenge for the title. Seriously

He ran the game yesterday, back to his best with driving runs and giving 100%. It was like watching Dirk...but with control of the ball... ;-)
1st goal was pure determination and a great bounce sitting up just before he hit it, 2nd goal was just sheer brilliance that if Rooney had done it, Clive Tyldsley and the rest of the Utd media pack would be creaming their pants for weeks on end...

I am pleased he's looking keen and finding the back of the net again
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

looks like he has found his mojo.
I really think Hodgson is going to get the best out of him this season. I am thinking that for many players this seaso if they felt truly stifled last season then we might see the best of many of the players this year if they are enjoying themselves again._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

I think SG is essentially a moody player whose moods last for months. if he's got his mojo back, then I can see him being immense for us this season. I have a suspicion - and this is not pissing on his grave - that Rafa is the sort of manager who you can grow to respect immensely, and maybe even like but that your overwhelming feeling when he's gone is relief. SG even looks to have a different expression on his face these days.Felching ≠ Gerbilling
