    Reserves v Dungannon Swifts

Went to this match last night(in Dungannon, N.I)

Decent match, Swifts dominated the opening stages but Liverpool were on the ball the gulf in class was there for all to see...which you'd obviously expect. Knocked it about nicely, created plenty of chances and ended up with a 5-1 win to Liverpool reserves.

Just thought i'd offer my opinion on a few players that were in action:

Two Black lads at centre back - Mavinga, Andre Wisdom i think you call them... looked the part - strong, quick and whole-hearted...impressed.

Jack Robinson played the whole game, started off slowly but grew into it and had a strong 2nd half - he's quick, mobile and has a sweet left foot. Like him.

In midfield i was pretty disappointed in Steven Irwin...isn't this lad meant to be one to watch? Get the impression he thinks he's alot better than he is, seemed to be out of breath after 10 minutes...some crisp passing but other than that he didn't impress me.

Thomas Ince - quiet and not involved much, showed glimpses of his ability...quick and skillful. took his goal well.

Suso - electric this fella...****ing electric!!!!

This game got me thinking again as to why we don't send a youth team to the Milk Cup over in NI.

For those that don't know it is a massive youth football tournament held in co antrim every summer. It fields teams from man u, chelsea and from all over the world.

Given our large support here and the obvious benefits in terms of experience etc for the kids I think it is a missed opportunity.

My mate went and he still had a boner for Suso the next day, sounds like he was just in a class of his own.

Been reading similar things on this guy after every game he's played. I wonder if there's any chance he could make a couple of appearances for the first team this year.

Yeah it would be a huge call. He seems quite lightweight as well, which would obviously work against him. But if he keeps getting these rave reviews, then who knows. Maybe we'll see him in the league cup.
