Loved it yesterday at half time when Merson said something along the lines of " I dont think the Arsenal defence are worried about Ngog at all". 2 mins later Ngog buried it.
    In Klopp we trust.

I thought yesterday was easily his best display in a reds shirt. Yes he was infuriating as he wandered offside in the first half, but he didn't let it get to him.

What most impressed me was yesterday for the first time I was starting to see the ball stick to him. As in we would hit the ball up to him and he would control it, shield the ball and wait for play to catch up with him before laying it off and helping us keep possession.

When we play with Torres he keeps the ball and threatens the back line. Whilst N'Gog can not really threaten, at least he is finally starting to hold the ball.

As for his goal, have to admit, I was bloody gobsmacked. What a finish from the lad. I was delighted he had the courage to smash it in from there.
        Forwards.......

I remember when Anelka played for us he did it about 20 times in one game. So frustating!

Other than that im chuffed for the lad. Deserves the plaudits. He had to lead the line for us last year and did it well.

If Kenwyn Jones is worth £8mil Ngog is worth more than that now!
          *Except Michael, who died.

Very impressed at N'Gog. He's scored some big goals for us in the past, thinking back about the one against Utd at Anfield to wrap the game up. Class. But the one yesterday was something else, good technique, well hit and against a classy defence. The lad is clearly learning from Torres and benefitting from working with the staff there. Future's bright for him I think

Ill look forward to seeing N'gog and Torres upfront together- take the weight off both their shoulders a bit

Not convinced you'll see it too often though.

For all his hard work and moment of quality yesterday, I am far from convinced with Ngog and in all honesty I cannot see a long term (next 2 or 3 seasons) future for him here.

                  Go on, take aim......

So he's 21 years old and has 15 goals for us in 26 starts and you don't think he'll be here in 2 or 3 seasons???

Imagine the fuss from Sky and every other media outlet if Man U had a 21 year old with the same record who cost £1.5 million.

The only way he won't be here is if we get taken over and our new owners throw £££££ at it and we end up like Man City and Chelsea, not a scenario I'm comfortable with tbh.

Throw everything at the ground after we've been taken over but develop the side properly over a period of time not paying £30m for a decent but no better PL midfielder in Milner (for example)
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I just pray that he doesn't go on loan to somewhere like West Brom. He will get no service in a poor team, not have a great season and be written off. He needs to stay with us, keep on putting in performances like yesterday when he gets a chance and he will improve no end. I think he has the potential to do a very good job for us.

Think we should be pretty confident that he will be with us this season - he's had a cracking start, doesnt make sense to farm out a player who is currently producing at this level. Even when Torres is back, he seems the sort who will bide his time.

Hopefully he should get a lot of starts in europe and the other cups this year.

Showed some nice pace yesterday, strength, decent control ball, his positioning was much much better too. Very pleasantly surprised with his progression and development. I was thinking yesterday that we should try to improve his contract. He will only get better. He does need to work on few areas especially on his headers and first touch. If he can muster those areas he'll be a very nice attacking option.
It’s a bold statement, but on yesterdays evidence he definitely was. He was excellent yesterday, chased absolutely everything and gave the Arsenal defence plenty to think about. We missed his presence after he went off, and although it didn’t help having 9 men, Arsenal were finding it a lot easier to break up our attacks and counter.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I agree about the media attitude to him had he been a Man U player. I actually read a newspaper piece about that Macheda bloke last season that described him as "one of the finest players of his generation". This after one decent goal the season before last against Villa and another credited to him after a team-mate's wayward shot hit him and deflected in, followed by almost a total no-show last season. Ngog's been far more impressive at the highest level. He was also much, much better than that Chamakh bloke for Arsenal yesterday who looked to have been somewhat over-hyped in pre-season
