    No Joe appeal

Club have confirmed that they wont be taking it any further. So he's definitely suspended for City away, West Brom home and Birmingham away.

Two tricky aways there, hope we can get by without him.

Very odd. Would an appeal not have meant he might have made the City game, albeit might get an extra day on his suspension?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

      Not so..

If we had've appealed it, and the appeal was deemed to be frivilous - he would've got it automatically increased to 4 games

      August

      14 - Arsenal (h)
      21 - Manchester City (a)
      28 - West Bromwich Albion (h)

      September

      11 - Birmingham City (a)
      18 - Manchester United (a)

Look who that 4th game is against..

based on the fact he will get game time against the turks in the 2 games in the Europa League, Joe will be raring to go against the Scum when it comes around..

I have just read the Aquilani thread and see that it’s already been discussed at length.

I think the fact he can play a couple v the turks and will then be available for the Man Utd game means it was right not to appeal.

Every game is a tricky one, but we have a squad that can cope.
            Forwards.......

Dead right DannyMan - i fully expect Red Roy to slot Stevie back to his position of last year, playing just behind Nando and Lucas to fill in in Midfield.

Our squad is stronger this year, we have a bit more flexibility for such situations...

He's having a bad few days. He's just been found guilty of speeding.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
