From what I seen of the match (2nd half) I thought Babel was the standout player. Looked really lively

Fair play to Everton for their involvement in all this

Hes scored against Liverpool plenty of times, he put through our net during the 2006 FA Cup Final

We should have signed him this summer

Hes as frustrating as Cole is with his flicks and **** but he always weighed in with the goals and more often than not spectacular ones like yesterday

Cant believe he was on a free and spent months looking for a club only to eventually find Panathanaikos

Babel played like Babel. Other standouts were Konchesky (unpopular opinion but true) and Brad Jones or as I call him, Superman.

Babel played the second half in two parts. The first part saw a bigger, stronger version of Lennon/Walcott. Able to terrorise defences with pace, power and control and have a great end product - whether shot or cross. £20+ million player right there!! Legooooo!

The second part, mainly when Sterling came on, saw Babel move more central though he still drifted wide. This time missed a sitter of a header from Sterling's cross, ran down blind alleys and offered no end product whatsoever. This was the Babel we tried to desperately pawn for a couple of shillings at the end of the transfer window.

However, can't fault him for effort. Looked like he really wants to play for us and has pride in what he does. That's good enough for me (for now).

Babel has the Talent it's wether he and the manager can get him to produce that on the pitch

Secretly, I'm hoping Roy can coax the talent out of him more regularly. He's the arm around the shoulders manager we've been crying out for (seeing as we can't just buy big name players anymore - we have to make them). Roy's done it with Zamora, and if you can do it with with him you can do it with anyone.

Hope my hopes for the new manager (and my indirect slight at Rafa) doesn't get me banned now. :nervous:

Odd, I turned it over to LFC.Tv with about 20 minutes to go and like V, thought Babel really stood out and looked good (although I did get him mixed up with Amoo at one stage). The match was repeated right away at 7:00 so I watched if from the start, but didn’t notice Babel doing too much other than what I’d already seen in the last 20 minutes.

To be fair, I wasn’t really paying too much attention either time to provide proper analysis.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Are these the same great fans who booed Giggs just a few years ago when they thought he was on the decline?

It was great to see some of the younger lads who we don't get to see on a regular basis, Shelvey, Amoo, Eccleston, Sterling and Suso's brief appearances.

I think i'm really going to make the effort to go to a few of the reserves matches this season, especially now they're playing there home games at Prenton Park
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
